Street Fighter V had a very rough launch and was practically hated by almost everyone. The game launched with barely any content and with an almost unplayable online mode. Overall it wasn’t the Street Fighter game we were waiting for. Luckily Capcom have gotten their things together, and they have released this fantastic new edition called Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition
Street Fighter V Arcade Edition is jampacked with content, and there is a lot of things to do in this game. Not to mention the game also got a brilliant new opening featuring fan favourites like Blanka and Cody and the game also got an attractive UI overhaul.
This new Arcade edition includes an Arcade Mode, Story Mode, Online Mode, Survival Mode and many other modes to play. The Arcade Mode is the best new addition to this game. You can play the Arcade Modes from Street Fighter I-V, and some of the opponents can be very challenging to beat.
Street Fighter V Arcade Edition introduces new characters like Sakura, Blanka, Sagat, Cody, G and Falke. Sakura is currently the only characters of the bunch available and you can play as her right now.
If you bought Street Fighter V Arcade Edition physically, you would get a code to unlock all the season 1 and two characters. If you already an owner of Street Fighter V then this update will be free to you.
Gameplay wise Street Fighter is exceptional. Capcom may have dropped the ball with the original Street Fighter V but one thing they made sure to perfect was the gameplay, and when it comes to gameplay you can always count on Capcom most of the time.
New V Triggers were also added. I’m not a fan of the new V Triggers but if you can use them to your advantage then all the better.
The new music in this game is also excellent. I wasn’t a fan of the original menu theme, but they improved the menu theme in this game.
Overall this is a great new edition. If you are used to Street Fighter and didn’t buy Street Fighter V because of the initial fiasco then definitely look into picking up this one as this is the definitive and best edition of Street Fighter V. Hopefully Marvel vs Capcom gets the “Arcade” treatment.
Street Fighter V Arcade Edition is a great game and is massive improvement over the original game
