15. Monster Hunter World
Monster Hunter World takes everything we love about Monster Hunter and modernises it for both veterans and newcomers. Monster Hunter world takes the already vast world and makes it even more significant with more detail and with an attractive graphical overhaul. Definitely, one to keep on your radar
14. Dragon Ball Fighter Z
Arguably the best Dragon Ball game we have seen in a long time. Arc System works takes the gorgeous Guilty Gear art style and pours it all over Dragon Ball creating a gorgeous and striking game. This will be a game for both hardcore Dragon Ball fans and hardcore competitive fighting game players. So if you love Marvel vs Capcom and Guilty Gear then I definitely think you should look forward to this one
13. Kirby Star Allies
Kirby Star Allies looks to be a simple yet refreshing platformer and it looks to be one of the more calmer releases of this year. If you love Kirby & friends and love platformers then you should definitely have your eye on this one
If you are a sucker for interesting and engaging stories with high production values then look no further. David Cage along with his team are creating a brand new story based game for people who love good a narrative and hopefully it will deliver.
11. Blazblue Cross Tag Battle
Blazblue Cross Tag Battle takes the characters from Persona 4 Arena, RWBY, Under Night In-Birth and Blazblue and throws them into an arena to fight it out. Arc seems to have taken a liking to the whole 3v3 thing and it looks to be working well for them at the moment since this and Dragon Ball have a lot of hype behind it. If you like fighting games or want a balanced Mugen then I recommend you take a look at this one.
10. Megaman 11
Capcom has been screwing up with Megaman lately. With the cancelled Megaman Legends and the terrible Megaman guest character in Street Fighter X Tekken, everyone really did think the Blue Bomber who once ruled was dead. But not for long. Megaman is back this year with a brand new adventure and if you love platformers or Megaman then this is a game you should definitely have on your radar and hopefully, Capcom don’t mess it up
9. Days Gone
Days gone may look like an uninspiring, dull and generic zombie kill them all game but I have trust in Bend studios to create a solid and memorable game. I do have my doubts but I believe and I’m looking forward to seeing more of this game. If you like zombies then this game should be on your radar.
8. Shenmue III
Fans have been waiting so long for another Shenmue and people were convinced that a third one wasn’t going to come out and lost all hope in Shenmue. Fear not. The third entry is finally, well hopefully coming out next year. With that being said I do think we need a remaster of the first 2. Shenmue games weren’t big sellers so I think it would be wise to bring it to a bigger platform so more people can enjoy them
7. Metro Exodus
First seen at Microsofts E3 conference and then seen again at the Game Awards. I actually genuinely think this game looks great. The Metro games are a hit and miss with me but if you are looking forward to a story-driven FPS game then I really do think you should have this game on your radar
6. Soulcalibur VI
After the disappointing Soul Calibur V, Soul Calibur VI has a lot to do to bring fans back. The gameplay trailers were great and I have confidence in Bandai Namco to create a memorable and fun Soul Calibur game so if you are a fan of fighting games and Soul Calibur then you should have this game on your radar
Spiderman is going to be absolutely massive this year and this one has definitely created a significant amount of hype among gamers and Marvel fans. This is Insomniacs next big game and you should definitely have this game radar
4. Dragon Quest XI
Dragon Quest XI came out last July in Japan but this year PS4 and Switch owners will finally get a chance to play Dragon Quest XI. Dragon Quest XI is a traditional turn-based JRPG with open world elements. If you are fan of turn-based JRPG’s like Persona 5 then you should definitely keep an eye on this game
3. God of War
God of War is arguably the biggest PlayStation exclusive of next year. The game isn’t similar to other God of War games but that doesn’t mean it will not be a good game.
2. Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption II is a game a lot of people have been looking forward to. The game was first announced in October 2016 and we got a stunning trailer for it this year. Rockstar is known to delay games so hopefully, this game comes out next year as planned.
1. Kingdom Hearts III
It was announced during the D23 conference that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be surprisingly launching in 2018. Kingdom Hearts 3 is definitely one of the most hyped up games right now with a huge following. It has been over 10 years since the last numbered Kingdom Hearts game so a lot of fans are patiently waiting for this game and hopefully Square Enix delivers.
